Oxford Reunions, Fall 2003

Reunion of September 7, Roma Espresso, Berkeley

This was a special reunion for David Ostwald, Oxford class of '54. See his website: http://davidostwald.com/ Six people showed up at the reunion, but unfortunately, we didn't all find each other: Shireen Mayeri, David Ostwald, Rich Finch, Bill O'Brian, Walter Mills, and myself. I wasn't able to come until 1 pm, and I wore my "Oxford University" sweatshirt. I joined Shireen and David in a very interesting conversation that we would never have had at Oxford or even at Garfield/BHS. Then David left with his wife, Brigitte. I want to apologize to the ones who were left out. Bill O'Brian even came twice with his wife.

Reunion of September 28, Roma Espresso, Berkeley

Present: Tad Brillhart ('51), B. N. Duncan, Anne Takefuji, Kathy Flegal, Jim Walczak, Marty Horning, Johnny Dodds, Judy Mazia and her husband Alan, Shireen Mayeri, Kent Rasmussen, Mervin Rasmussen, Mara French, Penny Brogden, Bill O'Brian, Walter Mills.

• Bill O'Brian. Many Oxonians haven't seem him since he was 10. He's an English teacher in the Moraga area.
• B. N. Duncan. A street vendor at Cody's Bookstore, Telegraph and Haste. He likes visitors on weekends. Sometimes he's there weekdays after 6 p.m.

Reunion of October 6, Berkeley Espresso, Berkeley (lunch)

This was a special reunion for Dorene Lindstrom who flew out to Berkeley from Pennsylvania. Present: Martin Stryker, Mara French, Dorene Lindstrom, Ann-si Li, Shireen Mayeri, and John Durantini. As you can see, they were all from the 1/2 class that graduated from Oxford in Fall '55 (actually Feb. '56).

Reunion of October 6, Vine & Shattuck Restaurant, Berkeley (dinner)

This was a special reunion for Dorene Lindstrom who flew out to Berkeley from Pennsylvania. Present: Mara French, Dorene Lindstrom, Ann-si Li, Shireen Mayeri, and John Durantini. As you can see, they were all from the 1/2 class that graduated from Oxford in Fall '55 (actually Feb. '56).
